Eddie Palmieri, the Spanish Harlem-born leader of salsa and Latin jazz orchestras and one of the foremost Latin pianists of all time, has had a musical career that has spanned over 50 years. His discography includes 36 titles and nine Grammy® Awards, one of which was the first-ever Grammy® Award for "Best Latin Album" in 1975 for The Sun of Latin Music. Now, Palmieri and his Afro-Caribbean Jazz Septet make their State Theatre debut with a set that is sure to please jazz and piano fans alike.
